Almost Night Time

It was almost dark the other night when my dog, Geordie and myself went for a wander down at the Correctional Centre on York Road.

It was very cold too!

I giggled to myself as I watched some of the ducks flying in and sliding on top of the thin ice but others plopping right into the open water nearby and then letting out a "Quack! I've arrived!"

Then I got too cold to watch further and I had lost nearly all of my available light so I snapped a few photos and off I went back to my home!

A real "holiday" scene--would look beautiful on a Christmas card!

What a beautiful scene . . . definitely one I would go back to again and again. Those sliding landings would make me think about trying some video . . .

Oh wow! It looks like a beautiful postcard photo of winter wonderland.

It feels so peaceful and relaxing. But I bet is freezing cold out there.

Ain't nature grand?

Another stunning photo Pat. You are so dedicated going out in the cold; just to take lovely photos for us to see!

The first word uttered from my lips is WOW! We don't have snow here in Malaysia. This photo reminds me of the song White Christmas!

Pat, lovely place to have within walking distance. I'm sure many of us are quite jealous.

Are you sure your interpretation of the "Duck speak" is correct? I think that "quack" meant Brrr! - not "I've arrived". LOL
