Virginia Daffs

After 771 km from my driveway to this one here in Virginia, I arrived!

What a lovely drive it was too! I was in awe of our wonderful Creator.

I left my house at 4:50 am in Guelph in complete darkness and as I motored along the Queen Elizabeth Way highway the beautiful glow in the eastern sky started to be visible and by the time I was in the St. Catherines area, it was just a marvelous site to behold!

The temperature in Guelph was minus 3 C and I had on my winter jacket but as I travelled further and further south viewing the lovely fresh green of the buds on the trees and the many blossoms of gorgeous trees, I found that I had to remove my winter coat and just enjoy the heat of Pennsylvania, Maryland and then Virginia!

Last night, Paul took me to the most wonderful gardens very near to where he lives and I was so enthralled by the beautiful trees including my favourite, Eastern Redbud. I just couldn't stop snapping photos! The Gardens are called "Green Spring Gardens" and located right here. Click and enjoy!

This cute litte daffodil duo was taken in this Gardens.

I just have to say that we have a wonderful Creator who can paint the skies and cause the fresh light greens and browns of new buds on trees and the mauves of the tiny violets and purples of other little wildflowers popping up in the dark brown of the mulch left over from the harsh winter.

Yes, I enjoyed my 771 km drive and now tomorrow, we head out to the Atlanta area of Georgia but you can be sure that I'll have my camera at the ready!

Here's how to get to these wonderful gardens:

Great photo. I'm not a religious person but what you have written is inspiring. I'm always in awe at people like yourself with such belief. Enjoy Atlanta :)
