Same Fence But now an Occupant!

"Look Me Straight in the Eyes
and Say That!"

On the way down to Hamilton today to pick up my granddaughter, I saw a dead raccoon lying on the roadway in front of the fence in yesterday's blog entry.

On the way home, we spied this horribly ugly turkey vulture having a huge meal. The light was terrible for photos but this is what I was able to get anyway.

I've just browsed through your recent photos and found them to be very nice to look at. Plus, I read you are making wedding plans. How exciting. Congratulations!!

Turkeys and vultures have started breeding?!?

I'm starting to get nervous about a dreaded 'Galah Emu' or 'Chicken Cassowary'!

I think that this guy sort of looks cute...

Ugly bird! The colour of the photos looks great. You can tell its evening - all golden.

I've never seen a turkey vulture before. Thanks for sharing the photos. I can't help but think of the poor raccoon though.

I'd love light like that everyday. Great photo of a very interesting bird. Glad you stopped to make these.

This is a wild looking ?fellow but likeable and rays of light complete the pic. I believe that our wedged tailed eagles often come to grief when they eat animals on the road and are hit there by passing cars, when their numbers are reduced as it is. So, spring is round the corner! April -May is a very nice time here usually.
