Lovely House on Waterloo Avenue

Click photo to see much larger please

As I've mentioned before, many of the older houses and stores and other buildings in this city are all constructed from this stone.

I think that this house is one wonderful example. This house is across the street from the Museum.

What a beautiful house, I would love a house like that.

You're right, that is a lovely house. Stone buildings always seem to convey a sense of sanity, stability and permanance - three things seriously lacking in many quarters.

I don't think it's a home (it's a realtor's now, isn't it?), but I've always loved that house. Maybe some day someone will buy it and give it the love it deserves.

Thanks for your comments on this photo. sdmarshall2000 is quite correct that this old house is no longer being used as a "house" to live in but rather a Real Estate office but I've heard "rumblings" that it's for sale so maybe, just maybe it will be once more used as a home? :)
