Old Mildmay Barn

I LOVE BARNS!
Especially the old ones

On my way home last evening from my daughter's home in Mildmay, Ontario, I found this lovely old barn. The sun was setting behind me and I thought it was so nice to see all the board's detail in the sunshine.

When I see an old barn, my mind goes back to the days when it was probably built. I imagine the many hands hammering those boards together and erecting this structure to store their winter provisions.

I find it quite sad to see one falling down.

Do you like barns?

This one is a beauty. It's hard to believe it is still standing tall considering the shape it's in!

Greatly weathered barn, you've captured it well.

That's a lovely shot. I love the way it's frames. Very reminiscent of what you see when out for a drive in the Southern Ontario countryside. Reminds me that I haven't been for a drive in the country since last summer. :(

Thats just what I would recall, the people and the past, barns such as this are rarely a big feature here. Am still taken with the name of your city.

Barns are so fantastic. Their look is great, in that it reminds me of the smells. They smell so fresh and woody. I have a thing for tractors, too.
