"Excuse me Ma'am... but do you have any peanuts?"
This little fellow was so cute. I didn't have any peanuts! I only had some coins in my pocket and he tried to take them until I took my hand away. It was difficult taking this with one hand and holding my other hand out to him.
I love these little critters who are so trusting of us.

nice squirrel !
Cute guy !
Season's greetings from France.
I really hate these tree-rats
but you have to admit they are very photogenic and I've taken too many pictures of the critters myself!
I like them very much. Can you imagine we don't have them in France?
So cute! And wealthy/fat looking guy. :)
What a cool little critter. I always laugh when I see squirrels... because I remember my Grandma getting angry every time she saw one... they always made leaves fall on her freshly-manicured lawn.
This is amazing blog, as the photograph in this post
so cute.
Hi Pat - thanks for visiting Rabaul - where we don't get squirrels but I love them so. This is such a great photo - well done. You probably need to have a few peanuts in your pocket just in case...
He is a cute looking fella. Well done on getting the photo.
p.s Like the new look!
What a wonderful photo! In fact, I've enjoyed seeing all of your lovely photos, and am so inspired by your photography!
This is really lovley!!
He looks great. We have had a lot of these this year with our pecan trees. I couldnt get a picture like this with a million chances.
Great shot1 He is so cute. I'm surprised he wasn't skiddish.
:) We have many here in our yard.
I have no luck with little critters ---this is a great picture!
Nice shot! the squirrels in our neighborhood don't get that close...
What a neat shot. Something about it make him almost seem man sized. Neat to see his feet like that. Very cool. Big fluffy guy. I love it!
That's a great one-hand shot, Pat! Cute little fella :).
What a fabulous photograph, Pat. Well done. I thought I was on Abraham's blog! That's a great capture.
un beau portrait et j'adore la légende que tu as mise
A beautiful portrait and I love the legend that you put
I posted a picture a few days ago of a squirrel, but mine was unlucky, he had fallen from a powerline and didn't make it.
that little fella is gorgeous !
what a cute squirrel photograph, and the detail is very crisp.
Nice close up shot. That is a chubby squirrel.
He is so cute, all puffed up with his winter fur (and maybe an extra layer of fat for winter, too?).
great shot! the effort is worth it. it's soooo cute!
how cute!
Great post and nice closeup Pat.
I have to say squirrels are not that nice and can be agressive too. They also do a lot of damages on roofs (when they can sneak in). However, I must admit that they really are smart, cute and funny to observe.
Precious photo!!!
Thank you for commenting in my Photos-City-Mine blog.

Omigosh, that's nice of you to do that for the squirrel...
Oh what a wonderful shot! I love it.
My experience with these critters has been to get out my “Have A Heart” squirrel trap (of which I have 2 so I can transport both Mom and Dad together) and to relocate them at least ten miles away across at least 2 major highways so the don’t return too easily!!!
I must say though, after seeing this cutest portrayal of God’s creation, maybe I need to dispose of my traps???
Great picture, Pat!!!!!
How cute is that?
nice guy! wonderful shot! cheers!
quickly give him what he asks he is too nice!!
Good afternoon, thanks for stopping by my place. I think this little fella has cousins that visit our backyard. We have one that comes up and leans on the patio door looking in to see if we're at the kitchen table. So of course one of us has to get up and give him/her a peanut. We buy five or ten pounds at a time at our local feed store. Even the blue jays like them. The squirrels are funny to watch, esepcailly when they are trying to get into the bird feeders that are squirrel proof. I'm amazed they don't get hurt when they fall off the feeders. Anything you find on my blog you may post, usually someone has e-mailed it to me. Also what if anything do you take for old Arthur?
aaaw... thats really so cute, he's even looking right into the camera for you :)
- Mindless Mumbai
as regards who won the tug of war, this round was between the 3rd yr (left) and the 2nd yr (right); and we the 3rd years won
awww...how darling! :)
Reminds me of that line from Oliver Twist: "please sir, I want some more!" ;-)
I really love squirrels, this is a great shot. How lucky you are to have come this close. The squirrels around here will just run up the closest tree and hide if you get too close. :)
Excellent portrait of the little fellow! These little devils raid our bird station. The fun is trying to outwit eachother. A mutual fan activity of exercising our minds, (squirrels will win in the end). LOL Our dog Winston loves to chase them, they enjoy the chase too, usually climbing a tree, only to return when Winston turns his back. Our backyard is like a fitness club for our doag and the squirrels. :)
I am not a big fan of squirrels, but this is a really nice photo!
You absolutely did a great job and he... Is so cuuute :-)
so so cute!!!
