The first house in Guelph

...well at least a model of it!

This is a model of the first house built in Guelph by John Galt in 1827.

The measurements were taken prior to demolition of the building on May 6th-7th in 1926.

It is built to a scale of 1 1/2 inches to the foot.

It looks as though it was a pretty good size house.

Both the original and the model are very nice houses! Wouldn't this one be fun to play with for some child?? I guess that's why there is a fence.
