It was very cold too!
I giggled to myself as I watched some of the ducks flying in and sliding on top of the thin ice but others plopping right into the open water nearby and then letting out a "Quack! I've arrived!"
Then I got too cold to watch further and I had lost nearly all of my available light so I snapped a few photos and off I went back to my home!
A real "holiday" scene--would look beautiful on a Christmas card!
ReplyDeleteThat picture is perfect! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful scene . . . definitely one I would go back to again and again. Those sliding landings would make me think about trying some video . . .
ReplyDeleteOh wow! It looks like a beautiful postcard photo of winter wonderland.
ReplyDeleteIt feels so peaceful and relaxing. But I bet is freezing cold out there.
Ain't nature grand?
I love this scenes. I never saw one in real life, it must be breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteAnother stunning photo Pat. You are so dedicated going out in the cold; just to take lovely photos for us to see!
ReplyDeleteThe first word uttered from my lips is WOW! We don't have snow here in Malaysia. This photo reminds me of the song White Christmas!
ReplyDeletePat, lovely place to have within walking distance. I'm sure many of us are quite jealous.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure your interpretation of the "Duck speak" is correct? I think that "quack" meant Brrr! - not "I've arrived". LOL
Lovely winter view Very romantic ;-)
ReplyDeleteDid you took this photo at night? Clear sky and lovely landscape with that pond in the middle. Good day!
