Rain on the Poppy Bud
I went into my garden and the poppy blooms are starting to swell and are ready to pop open. This one shows raindrops on the prickly bud.
Do you enjoy your flower garden? Do you grow one? Do you have vegetables? or fruit?
This photo is especially enjoyable when enlarged ... Sorry but I'm not a gardener. In fact living in a condo we have no yard or garden. We share a courtyard with beautiful flowers which are maintained by a service ... When I grew up my family owned a tree nursery, several large green houses, and always a very large vegetable garden. I can not say I miss the work involved.
what a lovely photo Pat - so delicate - yet so sturdy. We have a sadly neglected garden and a lovely allotment (down at annadale, by the lagan) where my husband grows gorgeous potatoes, salad leaves and herbs...
